The town of Medford is located in Suffolk County on Long Island, NY. Although the massive metropolis of New York City is only an hour away and despite Medford’s relative small size, there are nearly as many of things to do in this unique town.

Attractions

While Medford has a lot going for it, it is most famous for being the birthplace of Hollywood actor Kevin Connolly, who played Eric Murphy in HBO’s Entourage. So, understandably, for most people, Kevin’s alma mater, Patchogue-Medford High School, is the first stop on their list. According to wikipedia, “according to 2007 data, 89.9% of Patchogue-Medford graduates earn a New York State Regent’s diploma.” Not too goddamn shabby.

Lodging

It’s virtually impossible to see all of Medford in one day, so, thankfully, there are a number of places to rest one’s head overnight. A can’t miss option is the 112 Motel, named after the fact that it is located off of route 112 in Medford. Since a night in Medford almost always leads to romance, the lodging’s slogan “Where Fantasy & Intimacy come together” lets customers know they’ve come to the right spot. Most importantly, 112 Motel provides complimentary HBO, which will probably be playing HBO’s Entourage, starring local star, Kevin Connolly.

Dining

Hungry? No need to wander outside of Medford, because this town has not one, but a whopping two McDonald’s. Actually, the second McDonald’s is technically in the neighboring town of Farmingville, but it is slightly closer to the Medford LIRR stop than the Medford McDonalds. After chowing down on a handmade McRib or Filet-o-Fish sandwich, kick back with a McFlurry and enjoy the complimentary wifi.
